WHO

Since 2009 ICE has been bringing together a combination of driven Founders, investors and start-up leaders. We step out of our daily businesses in order to learn, share and support one another in building world-class long term companies. We share inspiration, hacks, failures and networks during talks, visits, drinks, dinners and excursions.

WHEN

The ICE list holds a series of events across the year. There are two large trips; in the winter we hit the slopes and in the summer we venture out to a hub in Europe or further afield to meet the local tech ecosystem. We also hold several ICEicles throughout the year where we have fireside chats and panels with some of tech’s biggest hitters.

WHAT

The ICE list started as an email contact list, where founders could ask their peers for advice and support. The list is still an invaluable resource for ICE members, and it’s grown to include invaluable trips and events throughout the year. We consider ourselves a family and members often find themselves forging life long friendships.

Our Story

our-story

Started in 2009 by a small group of founders as a way to share advice, ICE has grown to become a community of startup founders and key ecosystem supporters who are trying to change the world through technology.

Mostly based in London, we share knowledge and experience to maximize learning from each other.

We believe trust leads to higher quality sharing. As such, everybody in the group comes to know each other in real life, we organise regular trips away together, and we keep our numbers low to maintain a cohesive and productive community.

Testimonials

  • Alicia Navarro, Co-Founder at Skimlinks

“Starting a company is a lonely scary business. I was part of the early days of ICE, and the companionship, camaraderie, balance, and advice I gained (and shared) from other members is what got me through.”

    Alicia Navarro, Co-Founder at Skimlinks
  • Nic Brisbourne - Managing Partner at Forward Partners

“I’ve loved being part of ICE. The trips are great fun, I’ve made some good friends and it’s been good for business, including making investments into a few ICE companies.”

Nic Brisbourne - Managing Partner at Forward Partners
  • Renaud Visage, CTO at Eventbrite

“If you’re a start-up entrepreneur, do yourself a favor and join ICE. Imagine discussing growth hacking with your new bestie by the fireplace after a long day of skiing off-piste with a shot of Jägermeister in your hand. Imagine learning how to attract and retain the best talent while sitting on a deserted warm beach half naked at 2am with a shot of Jägermeister in your hand. This is what happened on my first two ICE trips. So if you love start-ups and want to take your business to the next level while having fun, this is hands-down the best place to be in the UK.”
